  I was recommended to Pro Eye by a friend for the little one's eye needs. Staff is friendly, VERY patient and super accommodating. Special nod to Toni for her caring and understanding about the little one and the glasses that work best for his "active" lifestyle! :-)

  BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! This place is taking it's customers for a ride with very shady business practices. My wife became a recent patient of this place due to its locality and the fact that they take our insurance. During her normal eye exam she was told she was showing the early stages of glaucoma and required more testing. She was brought through a series of tests and was never told the definitive diagnosis or if she would require any treatment. My wife became anxious and extremely depressed after this visit and waited patiently for a few days to hear the results. After not hearing back from the Doctor she called the office and was rudely told that if there was something really wrong with her then the Doctor would have called back by now. On top of this when she went to pick out frames for her new prescription she was told she could only select from a specific "cheap" rack of frames as others on here have stated. Sadly after this experience it left my wife feeling uneasy about these tests. We then choose to spend $100.00 out of pocket to have another exam and opinion on this supposed glaucoma condition. Luckily the new office could bring my wife a sigh of relief since she is not showing any signs of early glaucoma and was able to select a very nice pair of name brand frames using her insurance with a slight up charge. We intend to contact our insurance provider tomorrow to explain our concerns about this visit here at ProEye in Vernon, CT and the possibility of making false claims to charge the insurance company more for a standard visit. I urge everyone else to take a look through theses reviews as well because it appears this has happened to a few others.
